There are wedding days that feel straight out of a movie, and Jodi and Jaret’s modern black and white wedding at The Bluebelle Event Venue in Bemidji, MN was exactly that. It had gorgeous, timeless style, lots of sweet, emotional moments, a little bit of rain (because what’s more cinematic?!), and a whole lot of joy.

Getting Ready & The Sweetest First Looks

The day kicked off surrounded by Jodi’s bridesmaids in the cutest matching PJs, sipping cocktails and hyping her up like only your best friends can. What made the morning even sweeter was the fact that not a single bridesmaid had seen Jodi’s gown before. So cue the big reveal! There was so much joy, laughter, happy tears, and those reactions were EVERYTHING!

From there, Jodi shared a heartfelt first look with her dad, and if you know me, you know I live for those teary-eyed, hug-so-tight moments. 🥹

And then the first look with Jaret. Tucked away on a secluded path lined with blooming hydrangeas, the bride and groom saw each other for the first time. It was so sweet and emotional! Just the two of them, exchanging private vows, surrounded by nature.

Ceremony & Dancing in the Rain

Their ceremony brought all the feels! It was the perfect mix of joyfulness and heartfelt emotions that make weddings so magical!

The weather that day really kept us on our toes, shifting between sunshine and soft rain showers. Instead of retreating, Jodi and Jaret embraced it. They laughed, danced, and let the rain be part of their love story. Honestly? It felt like something out of a rom-com, but better, because it was real life.

Black and White Wedding Reception Vibes at the Bluebelle

Their wedding reception was absolutely gorgeous with candlelit tables and decor that felt modern and elegant. I really liked how they made the space their own with all the black and white wedding details, glowing string lights, and tables filled with family and friends ready to celebrate.

Oh, and Jodi and Jaret weren’t afraid to keep things FUN! They changed into custom Nike sneakers so they could fully let loose on the dance floor. Between cake, laughter, and nonstop dancing, the night ended on the highest note possible.
