It was so much fun capturing Alexis and Cole’s playful and sweet winter engagement session in Bemidji! Despite it being one of the coldest days in December, the sun decided to grace us with its presence, making it the sunniest day you could imagine. Seriously, the weather was perfection!

I’m already counting down the days until I get to photograph their wedding next year at The Gathering in Cross Lake, MN. If their engagement session was this much fun, I can only imagine the joy their wedding day will bring!

Alexis and Cole are the epitome of a fun-loving couple, completely down for anything. For their engagement session, I took them to a breathtaking location adorned with pine trees, rolling hills, and long grasses that danced in the chilly breeze. We had a blast experimenting with different engagement photo prompts and enjoying the crisp outdoor air.

Usually, this time of year, we don’t get the nice golden hours, but guess what? This time we got it!!! The light was perfect, casting a warm, golden glow that made everything feel sooo dreamy!

For their winter engagement outfits, they rocked neutral, casual outfits with jeans, which complemented the natural beauty surrounding us.

And if you want to know my favorite shots – they have to be the ones where Alexis and Cole bundled up in their cozy jackets. There was this one moment when Cole playfully tossed Alexis over his shoulder, and their laughter was absolutely infectious. It’s those spontaneous, genuine moments that truly capture love.
