Some wedding days just hit you right in the feels from the very start, and Haley and Tom’s Bluebelle Event Venue wedding in Bemidji, MN, was exactly that. From emotional first looks to an all-out party that went late into the night, this day had everything… tears, romantic moments during golden hour, and a dance floor that did. Not. Quit. 

Why They Chose The Bluebelle

When Haley and Tom were looking for a venue, they wanted something local, modern, and not a barn (if you know, you know). The Bluebelle checked every box. With its airy white walls, high ceilings, and beautiful outdoor ceremony space, it’s a space that feels elevated yet warm.

And as a wedding photographer who has had the honor of capturing many weddings here, The Bluebelle truly is such a gem for local couples! The natural surroundings, the versatile indoor space, and the way the venue photographs in every season… It’s honestly a dream to shoot here.

An Emotional Beginning

The morning started with Haley getting ready alongside her mom. It really set the tone for the whole day. The excitement built with a first look for her bridesmaids (cue allll the squeals and happy tears) and then a deeply emotional first look with her dad that had everyone tearing up, including me behind the camera. 

Then came one of my favorite moments of the day. Haley and Tom stood back-to-back and exchanged private letters before seeing each other. You could feel the anticipation, the nerves, and the love building in those few quiet minutes. Then, when they finally saw each other, Tom was speechless.

A Ceremony Filled with Love

Their ceremony was heartfelt and warm, the kind that makes every guest feel like part of something bigger. Surrounded by nature and held within The Bluebelle’s beautiful outdoor setting, it felt deeply connected and sincere.

Super Lit Reception Vibes

If the first half of the day was emotional, the second half was pure celebration. Their wedding party never stopped hyping them up, and the reception was packed with unforgettable moments: shot skis, a party bus, a cake cutting, and a dance floor that refused to slow down.

Golden hour on The Bluebelle’s property was next-level stunning, giving Haley + Tom a chance to soak in the evening light (and for us to capture some jaw-dropping portraits). Then Haley surprised everyone by changing into dress number two, and from there, the party went full throttle.

The BEST day, with the BEST people. Haley and Tom’s wedding was proof that you can have the emotional, heartfelt moments and the epic, joy-filled vibes all in one day.
