Shannon and Jay’s romantic Catalyst By Nature Link engagement photos were straight out of a romance movie! We had the dreamiest lighting, the most stunning backdrops, and, of course, they were a joy to photograph.

What made this session even more special? It was the first time they saw their wedding venue in person!! I could not be more obsessed with this idea. Not only was it super sentimental, but it turned out to be such a sweet, relaxed way for them to explore the space before their big day. And let me tell ya, Nature Link did not disappoint!!!

A First Look at Their Future Wedding Venue

When Shannon and I were brainstorming locations, we realized it could be really special to do their engagement session right at their venue. The moment I suggested it, it just clicked, since the property really is stunning through and through.

I’m beyond excited to photograph their wedding here! Catalyst by Nature Link is such a hidden gem in the Nisswa / Brainerd / Baxter area. The venue itself is sleek and modern, and also SO connected to nature. You get tall pines, private trails, waterfront views, AND elegant indoor spaces all in one. It’s the best of literally all worlds.

Before their session, Shannon sent over a few inspiration pics that she loved. She was drawn to those romantic, natural, cinematic-style moments, and we fully brought that vision to life together.

They danced their way through the woods, cozied up on the sand, and dipped their toes in the water. Every giggle, every glance, every pup photobomb was just chef’s kiss perfection.

Honestly, their pup absolutely stole the show! She was along for the ride and made sure to sprinkle her sweet energy into this already joyful session. 10/10 would recommend bringing your dog to your engagement session. Just sayin’. 😉
