We have to do a bit of planning to make sure we get to catch that golden hour for your wedding photos! This is what I help with with my couples as golden hour wedding photos are my JAM! I always look into the exact time sun is going to set on your wedding day. Then, schedule a window of at least an hour around these times, considering that the best light often appears 30 minutes before sunset.

Running off to capture the golden hour is one of my couples’ favorite parts of their wedding day, because they get to spend some alone time together AND get gorgeous wedding photos!

Choosing The Location

The golden hour will elevate even the most simple view to a magical backdrop! I do recommend choosing wedding venues with accessible outdoor areas for us to roam and catch that golden light! One of the venues I love that has a beautiful field for all the golden hour wedding photos is the Bluebelle Event Venue in Bemidji, MN!
