WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT: currently booking 2024 and 2025 wedding DATES!

Top Anticipated Wedding Trends of 2024

I’m buzzing with excitement to chat about the anticipated wedding trends of 2024. Inspired by the latest insights from Vogue, The Knot, and, of course, my heart-to-heart chats with the lovely couples I have the honor of capturing in 2024, I’m here to spill the beans on the trends I foresee for this year.

But hey, remember, your big day is all about you both – so take what you love and leave what you don’t!

2024 Wedding Trends

Smaller or No Bridal Party At All

Big bridal parties are taking a back seat in 2024. Couples are cherishing more meaningful moments by opting for smaller or no bridal parties at all. It’s all about quality time with their closest people.

No Grand March Entrances

Let’s face it; grand marches can be a tad awkward. Many couples are ditching this tradition for simpler entrances of just bride and groom.

More Time as Just Bride and Groom

As weddings go by in a blur, many couples are carving out precious moments to spend together. Whether it’s getting ready together or sneaking away for a quiet moment, it’s all about basking in your love.

Documentary Approach for The Wedding Day

Couples are loving the documentary approach, favoring real moments over tight timelines and posed shots. A team of photographers and videographers will be there to capture the magic as it unfolds.

Chic Décor Staples

Think champagne towers, vibrant neon signs, and the timeless charm of Polaroid cameras. These trendy touches are here to stay, adding a sprinkle of fun to your big day!

Nostalgic Vibes and Bows

Some say they’re out, but I say bows are still going to be around for 2024!

Using Real Flowers

I expect to see no boutonnières/ corsages! As a Minnesota wedding photographer, I keep seeing this time and time again with my couples – half the time, those things pin weird, break or look crooked. It’s an unnecessary expense.

Candid Cameras and Polaroids

Alongside professional photographers, candid cameras and Polaroids are becoming a hit, allowing guests to capture and share their own unique perspectives of your special day. They are a fun guest activity and leave you and your guests with even more fun, candid memories.

You can have your guests pin the polaroids to a photo wall, stick them in a guest book, or take the pics with them as a sweet memento.

Exchanging Private Vows

More couples are choosing to share their vows in intimate settings, creating a deeply personal and emotional moment away from the crowd. This goes back to an earlier point of the couple wanting to share more intentional time with each other during their big day.

If you want to exchange your vows in private, you can choose to do that during the first look or first touch or disappear with your photographer for a moment during the reception.

The Last Dance

Imagine ending your wedding with a magical last dance, surrounded by loved ones, or once all the guests have gone. It’s a romantic, unforgettable way to conclude your celebrations and enjoy one last moment together on your special day.
